Description
The Book of Acts, which is the historical book of the church, has 28 chapters. It ends with the Apostle Paul, who, by the way, wrote two-thirds of the New Testament, under house arrest, in Rome.
The point that I want to make is that, the New Testament Church Period, started on the Day of Pentecost, and doesn’t end, until the rapture of the saints. We’re actually chapter 29 – taking the baton from the Apostles [Paul, Peter, John, etc], and carrying it to the end of the church age.
In his challenging yet compelling mini book, VISIONS AND DREAMS: DOES GOD [STILL] SPEAK TO US THROUGH THOSE MEANS? Dr. Mike, contends that sincere Bible students, read Acts 2:16-17, “But this is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;” and think, to themselves, that the events of Joel’s prophecy and what happened on the Day of Pentecost, constitutes a complete fulfillment, when, in actually, it was only partially fulfilled. The culmination of both of their prophecies will be fulfilled, after the Great Tribulation, during the Millennial reign of Christ, in Jerusalem. Therefore, Visions and Dreams are still in operation, in Christendom.
