In Jesus’ Parable [found in Luke 15:11-32], of the Father’s grace for us, we read, “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

 Because of the wars we have with our flesh, there are times we have all asked, “Is Christianity really working for me?” Or, “Is following Jesus really worth it?”

 In, The Prodigal Son: Discovering The Fullness of Grace In The Father’s Love, Dr. Mike walks us through, how Jesus addressed these questions through His parable of the Prodigal Son. A young man demands his inheritance and then squanders it in a far-off country away from the watchful eye of his father. When he discovers the world’s objective, which is to ‘separate a fool from his money,’ using all the tools at its disposal: offering only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions; he arises and returns home; and soon discovers what it means to follow God and walk with Him in a relationship of love and fellowship.
