Description

When Theologians use the term “providence,” we’re simply saying God has a plan and a purpose for the world. He governs the annals of history (which refers not to one specific historical record but the collection of all recorded history), in such a way that everything from the least to the greatest contributes to God’s overall plan and purpose.

Using Romans 8, we Christians know beyond a shadow of a doubt that everything happens in our lives for a reason, because Father God has created all things and has a specific plan in mind for everything that does happen. Therefore, we are fully aware that the Lord God governs all things but with our finite minds, we don’t fully understand how holy God works in and through His creation to accomplish His purpose.

In this pocket-sized edition, Dr. Mike helps us to constantly remind ourselves that God is guarding us, and He does not send us any joy too great to bear or any difficult to overcome.  Simply stated, Spurgeon said, “To trust in God’s Will is the ‘secret of happiness and content’.”  Dr. Mike uses this concept to shows the minuteness of God’s providence in the life of every believer.
