Q: “Two Shall Be In The Field; The One Shall Be Taken, and The Other Left”?

Q: Would you explain Matthew 24:40-41, in relationship to Bible prophecy? “Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Then two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”

A:Matthew 24:37-42 tells us that this passage is speaking about judgments, not the Rapture. Remember, Matthew Chapter 24 is about the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple and the signs of the end time, and we know this because, Jesus disciples said to Him privately, as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”It refers to two specific judgments that will be poured out on the earth during the Tribulation, according to Revelation 9:18. [Two people, one will be taken and one will be left.]
