Q: What is The Queen James Version OF The Bible?
Q: Hey, Dr. Mike, in your seminar ‘Spiritual Protocol: Striving for a Ministry of Excellence,’ one of the Bishops made a comment about the Queen James Version (QJV) of the Bible; have you heard about it, and if so, what is it?
A:In short, it’s no more than a blatant attempt to discredit the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. In other words, to soften the harsh tone that Holy God presents in His Word. Most all Bible scholars acknowledge that the KJV of the Bible is the closest text that we have to the original manuscript of sacred scripture. The main intent of the publisher was to remove ALL negative references to homosexuality.
A good example of changing the meaning of the text is found in the Book of Genesis, Chapter 19:5. In the KJV it reads,“And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, ‘Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.” (The words “to know them” means to be intimate in a sexual relationship.) However, in the QJV, it reads, “And they called out unto Lot, and said unto him, ‘Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may rape and humiliate them.” (The emphasis here is based on based on man-on-man sex act where one dominates the other in a submissive role.) Remember what the Holy Spirit said, through the writings of the Apostles Paul in Galatians 1:6-9, and John in Revelation 22:18-19, that, if we pervert the gospel by changing it, we will be accursed.
