HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE!!!
Scripture says, “But the hour come and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.” (John 4:23-24)
I have a simple question to ask YOU? When God looks at you, does He find someone whom worships Him by being thankful, because He has given YOU, “this day your daily bread.” He has promised to supply every NEED we have. “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Notice what the verse says, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs. That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs. And If not, then what does He find?
Being grateful is a heart attitude: In Matthew 15:8-9, “These people, says God honor Me with their words, but their heart really is far away from Me. It is no use for them to worship Me, because they teach man-made rules as though they were my Laws.” Then, He says in Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the Lord your God with All your Heart, all your Soul, and with all your Might.”
Saints, we must offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him. This is the true worship that also offers up ‘Gratitude.’
Being grateful and a ‘praiser’ are needed to get into the presence of God and to set ambushes for the enemy. It should not be done only when you “feel like it.”
When we praise something or someone, we talk about the wonderful qualities. People praise many things besides God. When we are in love, we go on and on about that person and tell everyone. We are so happy and excited. Same about spectators at a ball game: they jump up and down, wearing no shirt with symbols on their chest in 20 degree weather. How much more should we express our love and ‘Gratitude’ for God.
